About the Chef

Executive Chef: Chef Yerena

Chef Yerena was born in Jalisco, Mexico and was trained in the best schools in the Mexican Republic, finishing his culinary studies at the Culinary Institute MAURER in Mexico City.

Chef Yerena combines the best in Mexican customs and food from all over the American continent, having worked in Canada as in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver among others and in the U.S. in San Francisco and Seattle.

He has participated in numerous gourmet festivals in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, was named International 2. Chef of the Year in 1979 and won the national Chef of the Year price in 1983.

Returning to his roots and bringing along all his vast experience, Chef Yerena is the Executive Chef at the Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta.

Chulavista

Make breakfast and lunch meetings even more enjoyable with the refreshing ocean breezes at this charming, thatched-roof restaurant. Chulavista serves up buffet and à la carte breakfasts daily, as well as an à la carte lunch with fresh-caught seafood, Mexican treats and international favorites.

La Hacienda

Experience Mexican authenticity in the grand hacienda ambience of this fine-dining establishment. Dark wood trim, pottery and period paintings set the mood as your group dines on the tantalizing delights of La Hacienda’s authentic Mexican dinner menu. Indoor and terrace seating is available.

L'Isola

Your attendees can enjoy their favorite Italian specialty dishes for dinner—without ever leaving their cozy spots by the pool. Poolside restaurant service is available from late afternoon to late evening.

Sunset Snack Bar

Any time of day is the right time for a quick snack or cool tropical drink by the beach. This casual, open-air bar can feed anyone’s hunger with treats such as burgers, hot dogs, nachos, tacos, sandwiches, burritos and quesadillas.
